The legal services sector has added jobs for three months in a row, for a total increase of 8,400 jobs, according to seasonally adjusted figures released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The legal services sector added 3,300 jobs in November, 1,000 jobs in October and 4,100 jobs in September, according to the bureau. The numbers for November and October are still preliminary.

The legal sector had a total of 1,186,700 jobs in November, which is 6,600 more jobs than in November 2022.

The jobs number is based on payroll jobs for attorneys and staff members working at law firms providing legal services. The jobs data can change in recent monthly revisions, as well as the annual look-back process.
