Leeco Steel Celebrates an Accident-Free Decade at Its Houston Branch

The company has also marked more than five years accident-free at seven of its 10 North American facilities.

Leeco Steel—which specializes in steel plate distribution and manufacturing—marked a decade of operation at its Houston processing facility with the announcement of another milestone.

According to a release dated Jan. 24, Leeco Steel reached ten years accident-free at its Houston location since opening on January 20, 2014. The company also has gone over five years without accidents in seven of its 10 North American facilities across four different states. Notably, Leeco’s Monterrey, Mexico facility has also achieved over a decade of accident-free operations.

“The safety record of our Houston facility is a testament to Leeco’s safety program, as well as to the expertise of the Houston team,” Leeco’s Vice President of Operations Chad Schuh said in a statement. “Nothing is more important than our team returning home at the end of the day, which – in our line of work – requires constant attentiveness and adherence to safety policies.”

A subsidiary of O’Neal Industries (ONI), Leeco Steel is currently expanding its processed plate offering across all locations, Schuh said, though it maintains the same safety-first approach.
