Avetta Launches Generative AI Assistant to Enhance Contractor Safety and Compliance

The new feature, named AskAva, is powered by OpenAI, the developer behind ChatGPT.

Avetta has introduced AskAva, the first generative AI assistant for contractor compliance and safety. Integrated within the Avetta platform, this new tool is powered by OpenAI technology.

According to a release dated Jan. 30, AskAva is designed to automate risk assessments for contractors, focusing on reducing workplace incidents, injuries and fatalities. A combination of Avetta’s proprietary data with generative AI technology. AskAva serves as an expansion of Avetta’s existing Connect platform, which enables global organizations to automate contractor risk management at scale while educating their supply chain vendors about safety best practices.

“We have entered a new age of using AI to solve some of the most complex supply chain risk problems for our global customers,” Avetta CEO Arshad Matin said in a statement. “We made the investment in Avetta One several years ago to build a modern, secure and global SaaS platform. This foundation has enabled us to leverage innovations like generative AI to meet our customers’ current and future needs.”

Avetta specializes in supply chain risk management (SCRM) software, and the introduction of AskAva comes as traditional risk management methods fail to address the increasing rates of contractor incidents, driven by labor shortages and the complexities of modern supply chains.

AskAva is currently available to beta customers with a general release planned for Q2 2024.
