46,000 Harley-Davidson’s Recalled
Harley-Davidson recently issued a recall on nearly 46,000 motorcycles. According to an Associated Press article, certain models could stay in gear due to clutches that won’t fully disengage. Under the right circumstances, gas bubbles can cause the master cylinder in the clutch to lose its ability to fully disengage. If this happens, a rider could lose control of the bike, if it’s started in gear. Bikes that have been parked for an extended period of time are at an especially high risk of this happening. Listed below are the models that are currently being recalled by Harley-Davidson.

• Electra Glide
• Ultra Limited
• Police Electra Glide
• Street Glide
• Road Glide
• Road King
27 Crashes Associated With Defect
At this time, 27 crashes have been reported due to this particular defect. Of those wrecks, four injuries were also reported. Harley-Davidson discovered actually discovered the problem due to consumer complaints. If your motorcycle is on the recall list, contact a dealer immediately.
