Fatal I-5 Crash
Early Sunday morning, a crash on Interstate 5 took the life of one person and seriously injured another. According to NBC San Diego Channel Seven News, the collision happened sometime around 4:30 a.m., near the Aliso Creek rest area. Initial reports indicate that two people were in the vehicle when it rolled.
The surviving victim was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. At this time, there’s no word on that person’s current condition or the extent if injuries involved. Very few details about this crash have been released. There’s also no information on whether or not any other vehicles were involved. Portions of the roadway had to be closed as crews worked the scene.
